Wild Donkey - Leather Bookmark

This leather bookmark features the historical art of a Somali wild donkey on it. The illustration dates back to 1884 and has been adapted so it could be engraved onto had selected leather to be used as a bookmark. Wild donkeys are also known as the wild ass.

Each bookmark is made in house from hand selected veggie tanned cow leather. The back is unfinished leather with the grain from the leather visible. See the photos above to see what that looks like. 


This is a historical bookmark, meaning the illustration is adapted from a book that is over 100 years old. By adapting old and largely forgotten art it gives the work new life to be appreciated once more for years to come.
