This leather bookmark is engraved with the art of a woman shushing on it. As part of the historical collection this bookmark's art is adapted from an antique book illustration and revived to grace your modern library. The art is of a beautiful woman with long hair partially up in a side bun. Her dress looks like the pattern of peacock feathers, and she has her finger up as thought to shush someone. The leather itself is hand selected and thin so it won’t damage older book bindings. The art is engraved into the leather, so it won’t peel off and is designed to last for years of reading adventures.

Each bookmark is made in house from hand selected veggie tanned cow leather. The back is unfinished leather with the grain from the leather visible. See the photos above to see what that looks like. 


This is a historical bookmark, meaning the illustration is adapted from a book that is over 100 years old. By adapting old and largely forgotten art it gives the work new life to be appreciated once more for years to come.
