The engraving is from an old dog breed book illustration from over 100 years ago and is restored and adapted for this bookmark. We make every bookmark in house ourselves out of hand selected veggie tan cow leather (so the good stuff). The leather itself is thin enough to not damage the bindings of older books but is able to maintain its shape and has the natural texture of the leather on the back.
