This leather bookmark features 2 Hippogriffs that are guarding an urn. The illustration is from a very old book and is given new life as a quality leather bookmark. While the creatures do look like Hippogriffs they have a stylized rear section which makes it hard to tell if they wanted them to be something else, either way they are impressive. (Hippogriff is also commonly spelled hippogryph just in case you were wondering.)

  • The illustration was originally used a decorative border in a rather old book so it seems fitting that it be brought back as a bookmark so it can continue to adorn the pages of your favorite novel.

Each bookmark is made in house from hand selected veggie tanned cow leather. The back is unfinished leather with the grain from the leather visible. See the photos above to see what that looks like. 


This is a historical bookmark, meaning the illustration is adapted from a book that is over 100 years old. By adapting old and largely forgotten art it gives the work new life to be appreciated once more for years to come.
