11" Desktop Wooden Frame Loom

Our largest loom yet! This wooden desktop frame loom (for textile or wall art weaving) is 11.4" by 11.2" by 1/4". This loom is made from 1/4" thick birch or basswood plywood for the durability of our other looms but in a larger size. Like all our wood weaving looms this one is hand sanded with at least 220 grit sandpaper for a nice smooth finish and is ready for wood staining, dying or painting before you weave for a customized loom.

You Asked, We Listened

As requested, we've added a larger loom to our collection, and it is 4 sided. The 4 sides just gives you options for more advanced textile techniques but you can absolutely still weave on it the traditional way with just using 2 opposing sides. Normally 4 sided looms can be intimidating to new weavers, so this loom is suggested for more seasoned weavers who want to try something on a larger canvas.

For new weavers we suggest our 2-sided loom kit since it not only has looms and instructions but the yarn and needles you need as well.

Why We Started Making Looms

We first started making looms when our eldest son took an interest in weaving but was uninterested in many of the kits because they were very targeted towards girls. Thus we made our first frame loom. He loved it and we started offering it on our etsy page in case others were interested. Since then we've been revising and adding to our weaving tool selection.

For those wondering our then 9 year old son really enjoyed weaving and would make little coasters, pillows for stuffed animals and guinea pig blankets.

As for us our kits have evolved over the years with the feedback of artists and weaving guild members who have helped us refine and add items to our inventory.
