What We Make

We make our own wood and leather goods. We have also started making our own stickers in house, the ones listed here are printed and cut by us.

How We Make It

Looms

We designed our own looms and accessories in house, then prototyped and tested until we got what you see today. We cut each of our looms and accessories on our laser machine, then sand each one by hand and with a sander. Each loom is sanded with at least 220grit sandpaper.

We do not sell our design files.

Ornament Kits - The Wood Parts

These are just like our looms, we designed or drew each ornament then prototyped it and tested it until we liked the outcome. We laser cut each ornament on our machine, then sand each one by hand or sander depending on the design.

Crafting Kits - The Wood and Leather Items

We make these like we do our ornament kits. It first starts with a design or drawing, then we prototype and play around until we like what we've created. (Kid testing is involved, they are always happy to help.) When you order a crafting kit we laser cut each wood item on our machine, then sand it by hand or sander depending on the design.

Signs - The Wood Parts

Like our other products we design and then prototype our signs. For signs sometimes by buy the right to clipart for commercial use. We cut all the wood parts on the laser, then sand and sometimes bevel the edges. The pieces are cleaned, painted and glued together all in house.

Leather Bookmarks

All our bookmarks are laser cut and most of the time engraved. We do all of that in house. Raven King Exclusive bookmarks feature our own art, all the other bookmarks are either public domain or commercially licensed art. We do not sell our exclusive art though. After the bookmarks are cut they care each cleaned by hand, some bookmarks get a touch up with leather stain or paint depending on the product.

Bookmark Sleeves & Wooden Seals

These are both used in packing our products and we make them in house. We make them using our laser and then they are either cleaned or painted in house as well.

Stickers

The ones on Redbubble are not made by us. We have started printings some in house though. After we print them we cut them using a cutting machine.

We Prepare But Don't Make

Bobbins of Yarn

We make the bobbing, not the yarn. The yarn is purchased in bulk. We use acrylic because over the years people have reached out with wool allergies pretty frequently, we occasionally get an acrylic allergy but since it is rare we don't stock wool. If you have an allergy though please let us know and we will substitute the yarn with extra accessories. We cut, sand and then spool each bobbin ourselves. Sometimes by hand sometimes using a jig we've made. It is a good mindless activity if you have a good movie on.

Bobbins of String

The string we have in crafting kits is normally baker string we buy in bulk. We make the bobbins ourselves then spool the string on it by hand.

Acrylic Paint Pods

We buy empty paint pods and fill them with acrylic paints ourselves. This allows us to theme the paint better and ensure the paint isn't' drying out. We do not make the pods or the paints.

How Do You Store All That?

We make our items to order! Which means we don't have to store a large stock of items in our workshop. Making to order also means less waste material.
