This leather bookmark features the historical illustration of 2 winged lions guarding a decorative vase or urn. In traditional decorative border style it features swirling plant life to add to the image. The original illustration is from the 1891 book “Tahiti, the Garden of the Pacific” by Dora Hort. In order to be used on a bookmark it has been remastered to try to capture more of the detail. That being said some of the areas from the original image were obviously worn away so while remastered parts still appear worn.
