This is a FAQ page for our Etsy mini shop.

Why aren't all your products on Etsy?

Unfortunately, not all our products perform well on Etsy or are profitable due to the higher fees on etsy. So our supply on Etsy is limited to what we know does well or items being tested to see if they do well on Etsy. If you are ever nervous about buying on our main site just let us know and we can normally make a private listing for you of the items available here on etsy. Please be aware that some items are not available that way simply because after fees and production cost there is no profit.

Why are you out of stock on Etsy but not here?

Our Etsy shop traffic comes in waves and since we make our items ourselves, we don't want to get overcome with a flood of orders we can't fulfill on time. On etsy we've always noticed a hard time recovering after putting our shop on vacation mode to get caught up on orders. This website makes it easier to adapt to waves of orders and therefor doesn't need to same lower stock as a tool to make sure we can keep on top of orders and get everything out on time.

Why do Etsy orders take longer to ship?

As weird as it sounds Etsy's shipping estimates are strange, so when we've been able to ship something same day Etsy adapts all our shipping windows to include that. So we give ourselves more time with Etsy to make sure estimates they provide are more accurate. Our website doesn't have that problem since we can go in and easily alter our shipping window if we get bogged down or experience issues and it automatically updates correctly on estimated windows. Etsy doesn't.

Why are the Etsy versions more expensive?

Unfortunately, the Etsy marketplace is more expensive for us to list our items on, so we have to adjust the prices of items. We try to keep the adjustments minimal, but we are able to offer more discounts on our website because we don't need to pay as many fees to list items or when and item sells.

Etsy Highlights show you "design" your stuff rather than make it? 

You can check out our, what we make and how page for more details, but the sum of it is that Etsy's program for deciding what is made by the shop selling is imperfect. When it first came out we had issues with any personalized bookmark being marked as designed by. Sometimes they fix it and sometimes they don't. There are things we sell on marketplaces that we don't make, such as the plastic needles or on Redbubble we don't make the shirts they sell. We disclose all that here though. 

Why do so many reviews say "from our Etsy page"?

People are far more likely to leave reviews on Etsy, but Etsy allows us to import them onto our website so that is what we do. We want to give you an idea of what others think of the item you are buying.
